At ZipZapZoi Eats, we believe in complete transparency regarding your billing and financial interactions on our platform. As a marketplace operating under Indian government regulations, compliance with the Goods and Services Tax (GST) framework is mandatory for restaurant services and delivery fees. This document outlines how tax is applied to your orders.

Please note that the GST on food items is levied by the Restaurant Partner directly. As per current regulations, most restaurant services attract a GST rate of 5%. ZipZapZoi Eats collects this tax on behalf of the restaurant and remits it to the tax authorities or the restaurant partner as applicable under Section 9(5) of the CGST Act.
Delivery & Platform Fees
In addition to the tax on food, GST is also applicable on service components provided by the platform:
- check_small Delivery Fees: GST at 18% is applicable on delivery charges. This is collected by ZipZapZoi Eats for the logistics services provided.
- check_small Platform/Packaging Fees: Any additional platform fees or packaging charges levied by the restaurant or the platform will attract applicable GST rates.
Tax Invoicing
You can view the detailed tax breakup for every order on the 'Order Summary' page before payment. Post-delivery, a tax invoice is generated which separates the tax collected for food (Restaurant GST) and tax collected for services (Delivery GST).
